normcore is San Francisco's best-dressed indie rock band and inspired by the music of Waxahatchee, Van Morrison, and Twin Peaks. normcore is a movement for egalitarianism and anti-consumerism. The songs are meditations on love, hangovers, delusion, and dogs.

For its most recent release, normcore goes a little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll. Inspired generally by Johnny Cash and very specifically by "Bob Dylan's 115th Dream," this song tells the story of the day Norm becomes mayor of this town. Dogs talking, pigeons dancing, and lots of good red wine help tell the story.

Additionally, we've played Far Out Fest, the Golden Gate Park Bandshell, Hotel Utah, JFK Beer Garden, Milk Bar/O'Reilly's, Neck of the Woods, Bazaar Cafe, Rudy's, Windchaser Winery, Outer Sunset Farmers Market, Mill Valley Lumber Yard, the Lombard Street Block Party, and more.

We're professional and respectful, play good music, and bring a crowd. The majority of our fans are in their 30s and our band alone usually draws 30+ to our shows.
